Recent feedback from the RBC Convention Centre

It is so gratifying to work with clients as professional and thoughtful as the RBC Winnipeg Convention Centre. Here is a recent testimonial about our services provided to them:

“As host to 500,000 guests annually, the Convention Centre is the place where visitors from all over Canada, North America and the World come to meet. It is imperative to our ability to act as ambassadors for the City and Province to understand how we can be welcoming to everyone and make an impact in a meaningful way.

Our decision to partner with Jessica Dumas Training was the first step in our participation in the journey to Reconciliation. Together, we provided the KAIROS blanket exercise, Sharing Circles and training to over 250 staff and leaders. We heard resounding feedback of a feeling of inclusivity, understanding and support from all of our team. A number of our Indigenous (First Nation, Metis and Inuit) team members shared how this training made them feel supported by their colleagues and the Centre.

Without this training, our comfort in serving the several thousand guests for the National Gathering of Elders would not have been such a success. By training all of our base staff and incorporating the lessons into our new staff orientation, we have been able to provide information and history to those serving our guests at every level.

Our guests comments and compliments say it all, and since completing our first year with Jessica Dumas Training, we have heard of a new level of support for our guests and clients with our Indigenous events. We look forward to the continued partnership with Jessica.”
