Going the extra mile

Going the extra mile means doing more than what you are expected to contribute, it is more than what is required to fulfill the job.

Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see. -Mark Twain

If someone does not smile at you, be generous and offer your own smile. Nobody needs a smile more than one who cannot smile to others. -Dalai Lama

Generosity is the habit of giving freely without expecting anything in return. -Anonymous

In the Bigger Picture

untitled (2)

What is the bigger picture? Sometimes the challenge is just sticking through the challenge. Whatever it is that you are going through, the bigger picture will always show us that we are ok. We might not always feel that way but here is a good tip….don’t think too far ahead!!! In crisis, we want change and we want it now. But if you think about it, we are ok. Get grounded a little by appreciating something that is not supposed to be in your control. I like to appreciate the blue sky, which we have been seeing a lot of lately. And even through a storm, above the clouds, is always a blue sky. Keep your chin up. Find what you appreciate and learn to flow. When you trust that everything you need and want is on its way to you, you can begin to relax and enjoy the journey.

What would you prefer in life?

People want to find meaning in life, that’s what the wave is about that I’m hearing. This is the time in life to do it. Now. The answers are within, not on the internet, not on reality shows, not in the complaining. Spend more time thinking about what you would prefer in life in a way that can make you smile. Sometimes that means closing your eyes and eliminating distractions. Quiet your mind. Thinking is overrated. Let yourself have some good feeling fun. But don’t think about it so much.
